I bought a "R" that needs lights, 36 inch rims, and sediememt bowl. I want to keep it original! Can someone tell me where I could locate these items and what should I expect to pay?

I assume that your need for new wheels is the fact that the rims are eatten out by calcuim. I have overcome that problem by removing the old rim and purchasing new blank rims and welding them to the good dish. Normally you can find them in a wheel and bearing supplier (I got mine from Morgan wheel in Omaha).

Dave, if you're looking for the large flat lense lights found on most R's up into the 1950's good luck. They are difficult to find. Expect to pay from $150 to $200 for a pair. I've seen just the glass lenses sell for $40 and up in good condition. Finding 36" rims is also difficult. Expect to pay at least $75-100 each for good rims if you can find them. Verify the center hole in the rim is the correct size for your R's hubs before purchasing since I think JD H's also used 36" rims but with a different center hole size. As far as the sediment bowl goes if your looking for the small thread on type glass bowl I think Motec Engineering in Tipton Indiana is selling those. You shouldn't have any trouble finding the sediment bowl form Matt at Motec or from any of the MM parts guys listed at www.minneapolis-moline.com
