have mmrt with serial # 01705171 on engine tag.can't read one on tranny.what year is it?

Your engine is a 1951.

1951 engine serial numbers for EE engine R tractor

01702876-01705444

165 cubic inch displacement

4 cylinder

3 5/8 x 4 inch bore and stroke

Thanks John,all my books list only tractor numbers.Plate on side of tractor is too badly rusted to read.1951 seems right by style of sheet metal.tractor was sitting in a persons garage for 15 years until his wife made him get rid of it .motor was set.Had to replace one piston.paid him $125.00 for it has very good rear and one good front tire.thanks again for info.Merle
