What is the deal with the brakes on this? They don't seem to hold on a hill. Is that normal for this tractor?

it's only normal if the brakes are worn out, or out of adjustment

Hello, I have a nephew, that just bought an old M.M. Model number UTS Serial Number 335089. The old man that he bought this old tractor from said it was a 1947 year model. It has been stored in an old sheed for a number of year 15 or so. He has got it running and it looks real good, has the original yellow paint. He is wanting to know the price of this old tractor, as someone has offered him a $1,000.00 for it just like it sets. Is this a fair price? Other numbers we found on the old tractor are: H-C at the top of the motor. Down on the block KE151F, down lower on the block KE 188. Back where the battery is located, under the small gas tank is this number UT 200T. Right side near Carb. Model# KEF and Serial # 553492F What is the approx. valure of this old tractor, and it is running well? Thanks Aubrey Holcombe, Royston, Ga. as we know nothing about an old M.M.Tractor, we think it may run on Kerosene. He has been running it on gas. Thanks for any input.
