Wilbert is in the hospital in Rockford. Saint Anthonys. Wed night he had pain in his arms and could not walk. Carol took him to Mendota hospital and they flew him to Rockford. He has had test after test and their findings are that he had a SPINAL STROKE. ( I never heard of such a thing ) But they don't know what caused it. Possibly an infection. For those of you that don't know Wilbert, if you were at the convention in Charles City. It was him and Mike Verhulst that put on the school on Ampli-Torc transmissions. I would just like to let everyone know that he was moved from the hospital to a rehab center, also in Rockford, I can not recall the name, it is about a mile south of State SR on Mulford RD. He is still unable to walk and was able to be sat up in a chair a few times. He is coming back and will hopefully recover back to near 100%, probably never recovering 100%,m but let's keep our fingers crossed.

I am Wilberts Grandson. He is still in lots of pain, but the good thing is that he can feel his legs and use his hands/arms a little, but it hurts him to do so. He is going to make it through this, but it is not clear how he will recover, hopefully he will be able to walk again on his own. I will print this out and give it to him, so if anyone has any well wishes for him, post them here, he will get them, he will appreciate them, I am sure.

Glad you posted that.Alot of us here in Northern
Illinois are spoiled when it comes to MM parts
and advice. He has a tremendous parts business
and such a vast knowledge of MM's. He knows people all across the country and then some. Looking forward for a good recovery for him.

Update: Saw Wilbert today. He has been moved. The address now is Rm 193A. Will be there till midweek. Showing signs of progress.
