Hey Howard in the sixth picture what model is that and aprox. year?Have one like that from my Grand dads day's of farming never could find on the tag what model it is.Looks just like it.

The 6th picture is probably a 21-32 based tractor. The KT and KTA had a one-piece cylinder head and a different trans/rear end. My 1930 21-32 had the numbers cast in the lower radiator tank so I'm guessing that one is probably built prior to 1930. It looks just like our 21-32.

What was the family history between the KT and the 21-32?? Which came first in which years?

What is the difference between a KT and KTA??

I'll have to look at Dad's 21-32 vs the KTA I just bought to see what you mean!

There really isn't much common between the KT and 21-32. The 21-32 is the predecessor to the G series (21-32, FT, FTA, GT, GTA). The rear end housing was basically the same from the 21-32 through the GTA. The 21-32 has an open or unshrouded flywheel. This was used through the GT tractor but was enclosed on the GTA. The GTB switched to a rear end/trans housing similar to the U series. The KT/MT series were the predessors to the U series. The engine design carried over to the U but the rearend housing was changed when the U came out. In 1947 I believe the U switched from the one piece head like the KT to the 2 piece head like the 21-32. The 21-32 came out in 1926. The KT came out in 1929 and is regarded as the first tractor produced after the merger by new MM management. The only real difference between the KT/MT and the KTA/MTA was the engine rpm (1,000 vs 1,150). There were several other minor differences I'm sure but rpm seems to be the real big one.

It is either a KT or KTA, Twin City, I'm pretty sure. Not sure what the differences are in those. It would have been mid-20's to mid-30's.

Is there not a tag on the right hand side of the transmission case - right in front of the rear axle? Sometimes they are sort of hard to find.

The 6th pic. is of a 21-32. The first of the Twin City and TC/MM tractors had the serial # plate on the left side of the tractor. Mike

Serial number should be on the left side just behind and a little above the clutch inspection hole. Looks to be a little different color there in the picture, and that's where it is on my 21-32.

Awesome pictures. Didnt most U LPs have smaller tanks on them than is pictured? ( like the one beside the A4T ) Wish I could have spent a couple days there. Thanks to everyone posting pictures so we all can get a feeling of being there.
