I have a 61 M5 that appears to me someone has swapped out the rear wheels at sometime. Tractor is a row crop style with wide frontend with clamp on style rims and hubs, not the spin out type. Question is, what machines had the same axle that wheels/hubs would mount from? Currently has 16.9x30 that are in near new shape. Problem is the drawbar is not very far off the ground. I would like to go to a 16.9x38 or 34". I am assumming i would need to swap hubs as well as rims. I could come up with hubs, but am looking for perhaps a trade if anyone has anything, versus buying the lot and leaning these up against the shed. Any low cost alternatives? Also anyone run a log splitter with an M5? Also have some rearend parts if anyone needs anything. Thanks, Patrick in jonesburg mo

Like the other said you just need the outside cast and rim the hubs should be the same. Dads M5 and my 670 both run 18.4-34, and work fine, i think there about the same height as the 16. -38. Probably be easier to find the 34 casts though in my opinion, good luck whichever you decide on. i don't know for sure but i would guess even the g1000's used the same cast wheel, even though they had a different hub assembly.

The way I see it is the rear wheels are 3 parts, center on axle, casting that attaches with 8 bolts, then the rim, whatever type it may be. The center piece for the 38" wheels will interchange with any tractor using the 8 bolt axle piece. As previously stated, the casting that attaches with the 8 bolts from any U up thru 670 will work.

I'm not sure what size hubs should originally be on your tractor, but a UTI and a RTI have the same size center hub. I needed better tires on a RTI and found a set used off of a UTI that fit. The tractor was a little high in the rear but worked. The UTI has 26in. rims and the RTI has 24in. rims. On the UTI, the rim has an extra step or ridge in the center.
