OK, Whats a reasonable price for an R with factory Cab?

Hello all,

After seeing the R Cab tractor posted on Ebay, I was wondering what a REASONABLE asking price would be for a nicely restored R Cab tractor with the oval notched serial plate? Not interested in buying, already have one.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

From the little I know, Moline never made a factory cab for anything other than the UDLX and a few R"s. R cabs are worth starting at $5000.00 or so, but not much less. A G706 or a GVI never had a factory cab, therefore a 706 with a cab is just a 706 with a cab. It is actually worth less to me because now I have another cab to junk. My 2 cents...

I see Kurt Aumann has a couple of R-cabs comming up at auctions this summer. That should help establish the value??

The highest I have heard is 32,000$. You hear alot sell in the 8,000$ range. If I remember right a poor cab alone brought 5 or 6K on Ebay.I think prices will continue to climb. Maybe not a collectible as UDLX but rarer. The UDLX prices continue to climb as well as UTC.

it all depends on how desperate the buyer is and how complete the cab is any where from 500 -5000

your kidding right? a 2000-3000 dollar tractor with a cab that is $50000? lol one could be made for less. ok I got carried away there, it would not be the same, but still that R on Ebay is only worth about a normal R but with a really expensive cab. In my eyes, its not worth it.
