What is the proper light set up for this 42 R? Does it take the 7 IN ? Where is a good place to find some.

Well from what you all have said and what few pictures i can find it does look as the 7 IN flat is what she had all way around.If it was good enough for them its good enough for me.Thanks for the help.

7" flat lens lights were replaced with 5 3/4" domed lens lights late in the 1950 model year on ZA models. I believe they were not changed any earlier than that on other models. The Knoedler Flote-Ride seat was also introduced at the same time. Example: #00604141 was the first ZAU so equipped. (This info from repair catalogs.) RW

I think all R's used the 7" Guide.

Someone has taken all the lights off at one time so i dont have a back one either to go by for what to get.Any you fellers got a picture or idea.Thanks

I am thinking that a '42 R would use the 7" flat lens lights.
