Can anyone identify this pump for me? I need to order new seals it's putting hydraulic oil into the crankcase. What is the best hydraulic oil for an old M&M?

Thanks,

Tee

There is a tag on the back side of the pump that will give you the model #. It may not be your pump seal. There is a line from your resivor to your crankcase. If the screen in the resivor gets pluged it will send the hyd. oil in to the crankcase. I have had that happen twice but diffrent tractors. Remove the side cover and clean it.

That looks like a Webster pump. Dont know the model for sure, I will have to do some looking. The Eaton pumps were round and the "square" ones were Websters. A guy told me years ago that when the Eaton pumps wore out they replaced them with the Webster pumps. I dont know about others but I know on the ZA ZB series if you have a different pump you have to have the triangle flange / pipe assy behind it as it is turned 1/4 turn for mounting. I use 20w non detergent in my ZA. I dont run it in cold weather and I figure if there is some extra wear it should hold up ok. Its not too thin and not too thick.

Seals are like bearings. They are all made by seal and bearing co and are used in all kinds of things. Most larger cities have co that sell seals and o rings. All the mfg do is buy from them and triple the price to the buyer.
