I parked an R about a year ago in a hangar and went to move it and the left wheel wont turn. I assume it is the brake. Ive pulled it both forward and in reverse to no avail. Any tricks to un-stick brakes on an R?

Do not back off the adjusting nuts too far,you can back them off quite aways but do not take all 3 center bolts out at the same time,or the outer brake can fall down & then you'll have to remove the whole axle & housing to put it back together, you may have to anyway to fix the problem.

John,

Had the same problem on my 39 R, and it has set for 25+ years. Took it completely apart, and there wasn't anything wrong internally. The only thing I can think of would be to loosen the adjustment as far as it can go.
