UTS LP Battery Box

I have found a battery box that is being billed as off of a GB propane. However, the seller states that the same box was used on the Z, R, U, ZB, GB, etc.

This is a three sided tray type of deal with two horizontal bolts on each end that hold a bar that holds the battery in. The ad also mentions a mounting plate that bolts to the transmission cover, so I think that is how this box was mounted. Without looking, the box looks to be similar to the box on my GVI LP. It is the type of box for the old style long/narrow battery.

Does this box sound correct for a 1948 UTS on LP?

I am thinking you want the tray that mounts on the left side with 2 bell housing bolts at the front and the rear end is retained by a bolt that mounts the steering gear housing to the trasmission case on the tractor. It fits a normal size car battery. The end clamps are the same as was used if the battery was mounted under a gasoline tank on gasoline models. (At least that is what I have on mine.)

I have one of these on both of my '49 UTS equipped with gasoline fuel. It was becoming difficult to find a 6v battery with enough amps that would fit under the gasoline tank.

I had a few things at the Amana show this last June. I had a GVI and the UTS (LP) with the AF 3-16 plow. I'm not sure about the e-mail system on this board. Anytime I've tried to e-mail someone from the board, it hasn't worked.
