Hey guys, There is a MM 5 Star LP coming up in an auction soon and I was wondering what the value range is for them. Dont think I have ever seen one sell. This one is very straight, it hasnt ran in a few years but the engine is loose.
It also has a forklift mast bolted to the front of it. It was used for years at a farm supply/ hardware type store. Has 15-30" rice & canes on the rear. PTO, pretty nice ole tractor. Sheet metal isnt rusted up and the paint is still solid but faded. I like it and will be gone that day so I will have to leave an absentee bid with the auctioneer.
Any ideas appreciated. Maybe I can join the ranks of Moline owners.
Thanks, Tyler

LP was common in plains areas but haven't seen those with forklift but saw this one a while back on another show link from one of the MM magazine sites I think. Check out some show pics at Prairie Gold Rush magazine's site.

Dobber, The one in your picture looks like a "Brick Buggy", I've seen that type on 445s and 4 Stars. I have one on a Jet Star 3 chassis with only 1 arm.

STD or row crop? STD's on ebay have been going in that condition around 1400-1500 I'd say row crop maybe 200 less? These were in KS and OK so location could be a factor also.

sorry about that, It is a standard.
serial # 11200071.
how many of these were built ?
One book I have only shows 5 star Gas and doesnt mention LP and starts at serial # 1120001, and 1958 only. so apparantly this one is the 70th one built.
located in Arkansas rice country.
it has the forklift mast with forks on the front and I happen to also need a forklift so.... maybe.

Tyler, I have 11200188 that is also lp. I got it from Ebay a few years back from down there in Arkansas. I paid 750.00 for it running with a blown head gasket. It should have brought more but the tin work was cut with a torch.
C1S model 5-stars where only built the one year (1958) and there was a total of only 350 built. It came with either 30" or 38" rear rubber and had a lot of features on them that was later used on the 1960 and new M5 tractors. Like the better deluxe seat crown style fenders to name a few. These tractors also have a splined rear axle in them instead of keyways. I have lots of information on the five star tractors. I own three total and a parts tractor as well. If you need anything else just email me. 5***** GOO ROO!

Tyler, If/when you get it, could you post some pix? Like to see the forklift on the front and anything propane/MM is always interesting. Thanks, John
