Give me your opinion on what color the rear wheel weights should be on a 1960 GVI. I have seen both brown and Prairie Gold. The weights that came on my tractor seem to be red. I kinda am leaning toward the Prairie Gold but just can't decide. What do you think? What was orginal and what do you all like best??

Thanks for the input..... ..... ..... ....NOHOG

Thanks for all the insight guy's. As I said I am leaning toward the PG to match wheel centers, ..... But now am wondering about the cherry red as it would compliment the red decals and strip on hood? what do you think?

I am not real concerned about being exactly factory, more towards what would look best.

So far it is pretty much looking factory (except for the six inch hole in the hood for my 5 inch exhaust, but did keep cut-out so could be welded back in someday if needed)

Thanks again, NOHOG

Think a lot of them were red because when you went to weight up this tractor, red is what was still in stock at the dealers from the color changeover. Personally, I guess I'd do PG to match the wheel center.

The weights for 34 inch rims that I removed from a GVI being parted out were red. The earlier model G's were also red. I saw a heavier, smaller dia. set (26 inch rims?) that were brown. I repainted my red, which likely is the correct color, but Prairie Gold would look nice.

Our's that were on our 59 GVI showed no signs of being painted and they were Prarie Gold.
