I have an oppurtunity to purchase an G900. Doesn't run and may even be stuck, but looks to be complete. It's a diesel. Are these rare? I don't know much about these, except it looks real cool.

Great old tractors. Our local MM dealer sold 12 of them new.We had 2 of them over the years and they were very dependable..They arent real plentiful but I wouldnt call them rare.

If its stuck $1500-2000 tops.Good running ones are $3500-5000.

Watched two 900's sell this summer, one diesel, descent condition sell for 4600, it had a little miss, but had been sitting for some time, the bidder that got it came to buy, so don't know how far he was willing to go, he also got the other propane fired 900 for 1800, which was also in fair condition, probably should have threw a few bids in on that one. If you can get it reasonable buy it, in the last 10 years those late model MM's have not depreciated and seem to be sought after a little more all the time, good luck whatever you decide.

I like them...wish I had one. It wouldnt be cheap to fix as was stated, but you would have a heck of a nice tractor when you are done.

I agree with Curt Cooke. If you are looking to make a quick buck that is likely not going to happen, as these are not rare and good useable ones can be had for a half decent price. However, if you are looking for a project and have the money and resources to finish it, or are planning on keeping the tractor, then by all means go for it.

I recently aquired what turns out to be a real solid G900 D at an auction for 3400. I have seen them bring a lot more. I put a few hundred in it and we now use it to load out corn every day.

Since I have one, I'd like to think that they're worth a million dollars, BUT, they're not. They aren't rare. A good one is hard to touch for less than $4,500 these days. Getting one that's stuck to that level, however, will not likely pay off. You may end up with a real nice tractor but you won't get rich. Of course, that's just my opinion.
