Is a 670 just a glorified 5 star. With the closed center hydralics and a cab, brakes are there some place close to major heart replacement.

Correct me if I'm wrong. 670=366ci, 5 Star=283ci. Different tin. Easier to work on. Heavier 3pt. Open center hyd pump on front cover of engine (super) All and all a much nicer tractor. IMO Especially Supers!

5 Star diesel was 336 and 283 gas engines. I thought all M670 were 336 but yes much better hydraulics on later ones.

Ya. I have alaways loked them to till this project. plus on the right side is the 3 speed filter and lines. really gets busy around the brakes

What year 670 do you have? Must be a very late one. The brakes are fairly visible on the earlier models. Can you post a pic or email one?

don"t know much on differences but my 65 M670 diesel has open center hydrolic gear pump on it located in the back above the PTO. Cabs were dealership optional. Deluxe fenders were installed on most if not all M670"s straight fromt he factory.

Don't follow you, the brakes should be accessable right under the flor plates form the outside.

the hydralic valves are mounted on the right brake and hydralic res mounted on left brake
