stumbled onto a really neat article. It is by Jim Janssen(who worked for MM) on tractorshop.com (look under articles).
It was about G-1000's. The article briefly touches on the HD800's and turbos. It talks about a G-1000 built by MM that was taken to Louisville. This guy says an 800 turboed and balanced would make 600-700 horsepower. he talks about a farmer in Atwood, IL who had 3 Vistas w/800's.
I live in Atwood. My father and grandfather who was a MM dealer (not the one referred to in the article)both knew that gentleman. He was quite the puller. It is an interesting read just wondered what some of you guys thought of it.

That really is an interesting take on things!

I liked the tidbit about the axle bearings, too...

Too bad so much of that knowledge is disappearing and fading as time goes on...
