I have a M670 super gas with the three spd amplitorc. The pump for the tork pressure only puts out about 125 lbs pressure at WOT when checked at the filter housing. The book says it should have about 300. At idle it is less than 50 lbs. Fluid and filter have been changed. Does anyone know how to fix? Rebuild pump?

I have never had a suction filter out of a 670. It is quite different than the 900 & 1000. I'm not sure the IT manual covers it, I didn't look. Drain the lube oil. And remove suction line on the rear from the pipe that goes into the bottom rear of the diff case. According to the parts book there is two cap screws that hold it. It should pull straight out the back.

How do you get to the suction filter in the differential case? The filter I changed is under your right foot while operating the tractor. I forgot to mention that the tractor had gear oil (90 wt?) in the system before I changed it and it would not even pull itself on flat ground!

The two torcs were built for the canning companies to get a slow enough speed to pull pea combines.

We have two tractors with the 3 speeds in them. a G950LP and a G1050LP. They are not oliver 3 speeds. the oliver uses a planetary to reduce speed and a counter shaft the MM uses a dual countershaft. With the MM you can change the low sprag with out removing the transmission. Just remove the side cover. The Oliver will take you all day.

Your tractor is not an Oliver setup! First thing be sure you don't have any pluged filters. Most generaly it is the suction filter in the bottom of the diff case.

Schrocky,
The G950 and G1050 were the most popular tractors to have the optional 3 speed torc. The late M670 and G1000 Vista could also be ordered with a 3 speed. The 3 speed uses a completely different trans case from the 2 speed systems.

I have heard of these units and have never seen one but had somebody tell me they were an Oliver Over/Under, If that is the case I would ask on the Oliver site
