Do these energy cells ever wear out much? Has anyone removed the energy cells and had to replace them? How do you know when the cells are no longer any good? Sorry for all the questions but we have a couple tractors with these in them (G1000 Vista and GVI) and were wondering if they maybe should be looked at and possibly replaced.

I too have had many of these engines apart in mt shop and I have cleaned but never replaced any energy cells. I do have a manual and for a small fee to cover my costs will make a copy and mail it to you.

I will pay you for a copy of the literature on the Energy Cells that you have. Andrew 715-648-2061 or please email - that would be great.

There are no moving parts so they should not wear. With that said if the injections are really bad and it starts extra good smokes a lot and has very little power than I would look. Only ever did one set in a Moline (G955 to be exact for another reason) done a ton of Olivers and some Cockshutt's with the Buda. Only ever had to replace 1 cell in 16 years.

There is a manual on how to service them, if you can find a copy.

I don't remember all the details, but it takes either a special tool or a lot of careful work to remove the energy cell for cleaning.

Howard
