Well this is it! last week in the factory ! Now I will officially start learning about and collecting MM Stuff. My first ? to help me start my collection, as a young man I plowed for a gent with a MM. It would have been 1963 to 1967. He had a tractor that started with the letter M.We pulled a 6 bottom plow in sand in 1st gear.Field was a mile long ! 1.5 rnds per hr! It had 3 pt and was Diezel, what model do you think it was ? are there any out there for sale ?

I have a MM M602 Diesel for sale. It works great, they were rated for 4-5 bottoms, but boy after all these years I think that 3 would be just fine to pull so that you didn't have to fix the tractor after a cracked anything.

I have it for sale all over the sales boards, and it is in wisconsin.

I sent you an email but it must have been blocked. I need a lot of parts for the UT. The water pump is toast. The cylinder block may be toast due to pitting. The clutch, trans, and final drive, I do not know what I need yet as I haven't been in there yet.

Let me know if the parts tractor is available for sale.

My brother has a M602 Diesel sitting in the shed it runs nice, but he doesn't use it. I know he is willing to part with it. he has too many tractors,(according to his wife). He has another bigger Moline in his shed, he is working on, sure that is for sale also. He is in centrial MN.
His cell is 320 492 3084.

I am in Kanab, UT. I visited Blythe a few weeks ago to hunt geese. I had heard about Alans tractors from a mutual friend. I was looking for a UT parts tractor.

I see you are in Arizona, not too far from southern Utah. Do you have a UT parts tractor I could buy?

I know of a complete M602 diesel in Blythe California for sale. No price stated, he wanted me to make an offer. My reply, "Sorry sir, I don't set your prices for you." It was in good condition but needed work.

Must have been a M602 as stated.We pulled 6-16 on black prairie soil with ours.Ours was a hot one from the start. Very hard on the tractor, lots of wieghts and fluid. Handled 5 real well though, we did the same with 4010 and 4020's. I still have that tractor and when restoring it you could see the effects of all the hard work it had done.Good luck and have fun ! Watch for one they are not plentiful but out there.

Welcome to the wonderful world of collecting Molines!

The M series of tractors were all 4 cylinder models available in gas, LP or diesel. They started in 1960 with the M5. The M602 replaced the M5 in 1963. The M670 replaced the M602 in late 1964. The M670 Super replaced the straight M670 in 1966 and continued in production until 1970. Do some looking in the photo galleries or even on eBay for these models to jog your memory. The M670 was a 70 hp tractor. I'm not familiar with sandy soils but it seems like it might have been able to pull 6 bottoms. In my part of the country we usually only see a 4 bottom plow behind an M670. A 5 bottom would really be working hard in our clay soil.

I recommend getting some reading materials on Molines. Brian Rukes' Buyer's Guide to Minneapolis-Moline Tractors is a good one but currently out of print (copies show up on eBay on occasion). Also Peterson and Beemer's Minneapolis-Moline Farm Tractors is a nice hard copy book that includes a history and serial number listing. Both books were published by MBI Publishing.

No M Series ever tried to pull a 6 bottom plow around here and our ground doesnt plow all that hard.

4x16's is all our new 1967 M-670 Super Diesel wanted.A guy about 15 miles NW of us pulled 5x16's with a 670 LP burner and it had all that it wanted.

We let our M-5 LP burner loaf as it pulled a 3x16 MM mounted plow.Our G-900 diesel had a 5x16 MM behind it.
