Could anyone tell me how to find out if I have a 800 or what,it has no tag on it. It was a LP powerunit and has the tall jugs on it.and is extremely heavy, how can I tell without tearing it down? Thanks! Keith (Yes it is a 6 cly.)

What numbers are stamped in the heads? What are the numbers stamped on the crankcase by the bellhousing?

A 425C with 10A4232 heads is a gasoline engine.

There are 425A, 425B's and 425C's. the 425A was a tractor motor (GVI) and the 425B was a power unit. I figured it was based of the 425C if it was a HD. Go Figure. A G900 with a gas engine is a 425c with 4232 heads. They lowered the compression to working levels. the 10A4239 is a typical HD-5 tractor propane head. Power units are always different it seems. our 504hd has 4231 heads on it for up to 5000 ft altitude. but the tractor used 4232 heads. 4233 heads were used on tractors above 5000 ft. Is this engine for sale? on a well or just sitting around?

The 800 will have two water outlets on the side of each block. If it just has one outlet & tall blocks then its a 605.
