Coke will just make your parts STICKY! That rust removal story is just crap!

Rev, Stop Yelling! And you talk funny too!

Kroil is good, pricey. Get the two for one sale if offered for sprays. There's also Gibbs and many others. Fingernail Polish remover??? That's just Acetone, would think that might remove oils, not much else. Even Marvel Mystery Oil for air tools seeps good.

If you shop at a "big box mart" type store (not Walmart, we boycot them), and you can get a good deal on a jug of fingernail polish remover, it works well. But the Coke-a-cola is probably cheaper either way.

Coca Cola works good. Remove the head, clean out the rust and take a wire wheel around the bore where the piston is to get the big chunks. Then blow out the gap with high pressure air. Pour in the coke and let it sit for a while.

Do you now WHY coke works?

It has phosphoric acid in it, which is a common ingredient in rust remover products!
