difference between a rts and zau

size wieght and such i know the rts is a wide front but what are other points i have a chance to pick one up and the R is about as big as I can get weight and size wise

They did not start making the ZAU until 49 So it could be a ZTU. But either way they should not be that much of a difference in auctual tractor weight you might want to consider if it has fluid in the rears or wheel weights on it for added weight The Z will be touch longer and it will depend on wheel spacing for the width but it could be narrowed up with some work.

I don't think there would be 500lb difference with the wide front on the R they should weigh close to the same. The R would be more value-able
The zau would have more power with the longer stroke engine. I hope this helps Roger

The R may be more valuable, but in terms of rarity, there are a lot more Rs than Zs out there.

thanks i think your right after looking it over should be a good buy a the price asking but one thing is it has spoked wheels never seen a MM withthis style wheels before these look earlier MM wheels any ideas one I thought is since its a 43 model year the MM afctory used what they had also think these may reduce the weight then the steel disks
