Could someone tell me where I could get a new head gasket for my 1942 MM u it has the single head. I would also need a valve cover gasket. Thanks for any help.

On the single block U's try to get a composition gasket not a copper clad. From experience the composition seals alot better.

Try Olsons gaskets of Port Orchard Washington. They did have them at one time. Their website is www-dot-olsonsgaskets-dot-com. or send and email to info@ They have quite an assortment of gaskets for a lot of things.

The part number for the two head set is fel-7468 at napa auto parts.

I would give welters a call. they are out of verona MO their phone # is 1-417-498-6496. Good Luck, I just ordered a complete gasket set from them for a 1951 MM UTS, along with other parts, very reasonable on their prices to.
