46 Z Oil Breather

I cannot find a replacement RE177 Filter Element for the Oil Breather for my 46 Z. The element or filter is attached to a wire and slides into the angled tube just below the oil cap. Does anyone still make these? I have checked with Welters and several others with no luck. What do you expert MM guys do for this filter?

Isn"t it a wire mesh? A brillo pad or something like it works.

I make reproduction parts and have looked into making some of those, but havent had too much time to spend on them yet. I hadn't been able to find a good used one anywhere either when I was looking. How soon do you need it? I can send you a list of parts I make if you like.
