Farmhand loaders were made just a few blocks east of the MM factory in Hopkins Minn, and they do and can still do LOTS more things than "regular" loaders. I had one for many years on my WC Allis and bucked, fed hay and moved bales, etc. My neighbor still has one on a GREEN machine and still uses it--his ONLY loader.

I'm from S Iowa, but when I moved to SD, I didn't know what to make of those loaders. Still alot of them around and in use. They work GREAT for shingling your house. Never pack shingles up a ladder again. About a 22 foot reach up onto the roof.

The loader on the 400 case is a F-10 Farmhand brand, real popular from 1940's-1960's. They had hay baskets you could mount in place of the scoop to stack hay up into tall stacks, they have a lot of lift and because the supports are in the back it transfers weight over the whole tractor, you could move a lot of material with a small tractor, becaause they are not front heavy like a front end loader, but when something breaks you need to drop it down fast, because things start falling around you in a hurry. Popular here on the plains and many of them are still feeding cows to this day, a simple and reliable machine, even though it looks crude, take care.

that loader on the case is insane looking but appears to be functional. hey as long as it works who's complaining. The weatland tractors are awesome looking, and i'm glad to see other people still using the tractors and not just letting them sit. Eric

City Boy here...just what is that calamity (loader) in that picture? Is that homemade special hay rig, or another attachment I'm not familiar with? That Frame on back, those Extra long arms?? Does this thing outlift a standard loader? Just curious.
