On my way home from work today, met someone pulling a MM tractor on a car dolly, looke like a U . Looked liked it was all restored and all, but I would have thought they would have used a trailer to tow, On the dolly only the front tires were off of the ground, rear tires going down the highway, Just got some fresh snow so he was going pretty slow, Just figured it was a little strange to se it being pulled that way, other than the fact I have only seen a coulpe of MM up here in the first place. Well enough for now, Bye

I Had A Homemade Dolly That My Cousin Made, The Front Trycicle Front Sit In a Pocket & You Chained Wheels Down, He Pulled An Allis WD With Baler Behind & Wagon Behind That. Poor Farmers Have Their Ways. I Pulled A 611B case 40 Miles With a 3 Bottom Mounted plow I Bought with It, Not over 25 Or 30 MPH As I Recall. Also Towed A Restored Farmall F-20 To A Show With It. Went very Slow With It. Finally got a Trailer. Dolly Is Still In the Neighborhood

When I was a kid about 50 years ago my Dad use to chain-tow home a lot of tractors home behind the 49 Chevy pickup. Guess who was at the wheel and they were pretty wild rides too. Red

A few years ago somebody bought a very nice JD 2cyl and was towing that way down the highway. It came lose or got swaying from too much speed.

When I came by it had been rolled several times out into a field only 4 miles from the sale. That would ruin your day!

Maybe the dolly was all he had to work with? It does seem odd now.

When I was a child (early 70's) I recall seeing a Farmall being towed by a fairly large truck. It had a hitch on the narrow front to make it steer behind the truck.
