Dad's G 4 combine

This afternoon we spent several hours cutting trees so we could rescue a G 4 combine that was parked there 40 - 50 years ago -- it still had air in the tires -- must have been "real rubber"! I remember that we went down to Hopkins to see it being built -- it was the only one with rubber tires -- I think my dad slipped someone a few bucks to make sure we got that one ( after 60+ years I guess we can confess)!!!!!

That"s neat. Where in the world do you live at. I have 2 G-4"s right now and as soon as we move to the place we just got I hope to go look at a really nice one.

We used G4's for a number of years. They used to dot the country side, but not much around anymore. Hope what is left of them can be saved. I always enjoyed hearing it run each year when we combined.
