My auto tool is too small at the clutch plate and in the pilot hole. What are you guys using?

Any ideas how to get by without one?

I use the adapters just smaller than the pilot hole and make up the difference with wraps of black electrical tape.On the clutch hole use a socket that is closest to the size and use the tape to make it snug.Use 3/4 drive sockets so your tool will slide through. You can tape around the tool if needed also.I've never had one yet that i could'nt get back together this way.

Hey T.R.K.

You can make on out of a broom stisk.
Make the pilot like you would sharpen a pencil bigger than the pilot size and the shaft for the splines of the size you need.
You can also align the disk with the outer edge of the pressure plate by feeling all around. I have done this way on a pinch and it worked for me. GUIDO

If you have access to a lathe could one be made of wood or metal to duplicate both the pilot I.D. and O.D. of input shaft of transmission. CENTAUR

Thanks. I tried the tape idea on a piece of old shaft. It worked -sort of. Still was a bugger to get the pto and clutch shaft splines to all align at once.
