Got a fellow wanting to sell a 4 furrow MM plow that is 3 point hitch... Are these plows common? I haven't seen one before and want to know if they work good. Thanks!

Well, I'm not exactly sure what model it is, but it has square tubing instead of pipe...maybe a newer model? I would imagine it is alot of weight hanging off the back of the tractor....

I have a 3 bottom and a 4 bottom pipe frame 3 point plow....they work great but its hard to get the points for them. as far as I know I just got the last 2 welters supply had

The 4 bottom mounted plows had a tendency to cause the hydraulic housing under the seat (on MM's) to crack or break off completely if they were allowed to bounce much. Because of this several of them around here were reduced to three bottom mounted plows which didn't seem to cause that problem. I understand that it was a real thrill when one took the seat out from under you.

I hadnt heard that before. OUCH! They were fully mounted plows I suppose? I bet that was a suprise...

Is it a fully mounted plow? Those are kind of rare. I had a chance to buy a 3 bottom fully mounted MM "pipe" plow years ago on a sale for $35 but didnt have a way to get it home..(still kicking myself). Would have been a good match for my 5 Star.

we have Grandpas 4 botom full 3pt MM plow I dont know what gear he used but he was abel to plow more with it than the nabor could with the 3 botom and a M602 Grandpa put it on an MM Jet Star 2 had 5 front waights 1set of wheel waights and tires full of fluid I have used it on the Oliver 1755 and it worked grate after I got it figured out and shined up abit the only problem I had with it was the first time the 1755 had baled tires and the seconed time the 1755 was not running quite right was lacking power both were tractor problems the only actual plow problem was if your front tires rais 2 foot the back of the plow tried to go down a foot and when your front tires drop 2 foot the back of the plow would rais a foot and come out of the ground at the back 1 or 2 botoms I but I was plowing sod up to level it off and start over I have a pic of it if you want to see it let me know
