I purchased a home that came with a tractor and brush hog. It is a Minneapolis Moline Jet Star with brush hog. Still runs. What is the value of this set up? Is it considered a classic model or is it just "old". It is in decent shape but I am not handy with motor repairs. I"m trying to decide to keep it or sell and purchase a newer, smaller model for light home use. I don"t farm but need to brush hog, clear driveway, etc. I live is southwest Missouri

if it is a straight JetStar I would say somewhere around $1500 + depending on e condition of sheet metal and mechanical soundness of tractor the brush hog value will depend on kind and width. IF the tractor is a Jetstar with a number behind it it could be worth more.

I will say that you could spend more on a new tractor and not gain mutch unless you get a front asist and loader but if you were just going to run a brush hog that Jet Star will handel it just fine and have plenty of power unless you have a nero front end and hilly ground then that changes things
