I am restoring a ZAU and I have a parts tractor--neither has the original hose or pipe that goes from the air cleaner to the carb.. Was this a formed rubber hose or a length of steel tube with a hose at each end? thanks for your help

I'm restoring a ZAU right now and I bought my breather intake hose from NAPA. It's part number 7964. The bends are correct and one end is perfect, but one end is slightly larger than your carburetor and/or breather nipple. Put the large size up on the breather and tighten it with a good clamp. That end is covered by the hood and no one will ever notice. The rest looks and works like factory. This hose can be used on both ZA and ZT tractors.

Yes it was a factory formed rubber hose. Im sure they are still available from agco. The MM part number is JT2909B. Im sure that has been changed a zillion times allready but they will be able to get the proper number.
