Noisy PTO 4 Star

The PTO on my 4 Star is noisy and won't disengage completely. Any sugestions?

yes on the shaft free wheeling it is normal. For noise i would check bearings. I wanted to add if it won't come out on the lever look at the linkage, through out or there could be a clutch pack problem.

I don't think the 4 star had a pto brake and they tend to spin all the time, even when there is really no problem with the unit. Its your call about the noise.
