I'm a Gvi rookie, and I need some help. Went to NAPA for the fuel filters- they sold me 2. I took off the first canister and there was nothing in it. The element NAPA sold me doesn't fit, either. Is this a sediment can, or is there supposed to be a filter there? The other filter was right, but I dropped it and broke the glass bowl on the bottom. Is this part available, or is there something better than glass to put in it's place? I need to solve this problem right away, so any help or sources for this stuff would be appreciated. Thanks- Kevin

Thanks for the reply. The pump is a Roosa master. The fuel passes through the first canister that was empty, and then through a filter with a glass bowl mounted on the bottom of it. A long center bolt passes up through the glass bowl and filter, threading into the housing. I need that glass bowl, and don't know what that first canister is for. I appreciate your help, since I have no experience with MM. Thanks again- Kevin

Kevin, I believe that the first canister is where a reusable clean out screen is to be at. The one you said is empty. It is made of a very fine wire tube and just sets in there. I am not sure how may microns it filters to or anything like that. I know you just wash them out and replace it. It is to be used as your primary filter.

What fuel system does your GVI have? Does it have an American Bosch pump or a Roosa Master? The Bosch has three fuel filters. The Roosa has only one. Let me know mabey I can help from there.
