I am currently rebuilding the engine of a U which was tight when bought it. I have successfully removed the heads and blocks and had them checked for cracks and they are good other than the fact that I need to have the blocks rebored. Can some one give me advice on where to find oversize piston and rings or just general engine parts for the U. Just looking for directiong,

thanks

You can probably find some oversize pistons for your U, at least used ones. It may do to call Welters 417-498-6496 or Wendell Everett 470-922-3335. You need to know at least the minimum size that you would have to bore out to when asking for oversize pistons, though. Both are good for new parts, Wendell is a little better when looking for used parts. Wendell is the only one working and he isn't there all the time. If no answer keep trying.

I had my blocks sleeved back to standard size with repair sleeves and bored to fit my old pistons when I rebuilt both my Us. That cost $450-$500 back in the late 90's. I just mention that as another way to go if pistons are slow in coming.
