I went to an auction some time ago and bought a 5 bottom (16 or 18 inch) Minneapolis moline plow. MM Owners book says it is a model 1548. It is a WHITE plow that was painted red but has been repainted a different shade of red and a yellow MINNEAPOLIS MOLINE decal on the back side of the main beam. Owners book was printed in 1970 I think. It is an automatic spring reset plow.MM must have put a "1" in front of 548 as that is OLiver"s and WHITE"s model number of that plow (548). White also has a model " 508" and a "588" plow. So did MM have models "1508" and "1588" too? Does anybody have MM plow like these?

you have an Oliver ( white) plow built in South Bend In. This actually started in the early 60's when white got their fingers into both companies. All tillage and planter equipment was the same if you look back. They were in bed together possibly sooner than White put them together. As farmers close to the plant we would get proto types to use and we had even Blue ones...way back when Oliver was building the Pipe or round tube units

My 1548 plow is painted Oliver green it is a 6 inch by 8 inch main beam 6 bottom onland hitch model,it is a cushion trip and my parts cataog is from February of 72. I always thought it was MM but the part numbers are White and Oliver like 30- or 219- Have i been wrong all these years?

I suppose these plows were made in those years where you could order a plow and you wouldn't know what color it would be until you got it. And if you wanted a specific name, they'd paint a White plow any color you wanted. I have seen White plows with blue parts, like Ford blue. My owners manual lists a lot of 219- and 30- parts numbers. Anyway, the former owner thought the world of this plow. And to me it is a Minneapolis moline plow

I haven't seen too many late model "MM" plows. Ive seen a lot of the reg trip bottom plows. That might be somewhat of a rare find. Seems they did that alot with the Oliver/MM items, same with the balers too I believe.
