An acquaintance of mine is restoring a 1936 Twin City JT. Both rear rims were toast so he junked them some time back not knowing he would have a problem locating correct replacements.
The rear hubs are JT1225's and he needs 1 pair of 10x36 inch rims. If we could even find a picture it would be of immense help.

where are you located at. I bought a set couple years ago as they were better than what I have on mine now. 1 is in good shape, at least as I can tell without taking it off the hub and removing tire, and the other has some rust thru in a spot, which is why i got the other set when the opportunity was there. Would sell my existing pair, shipping might be a problem but not sure.

We are in Great Falls MT. I travel to the central plains (Kansas and Nebraska) a couple of times each year but might be able to go farther.

I am in MN so that a bit farther yet. As it sounds there appears to be an option to use other style rims, but these will be here for a bit as they are still on the tractor (have not restored it yet) so if your interested..... ...

JW, I have same tractor, bad tires, not sure on rims yet. I thought they were 38's, they look big, but they say 11x 36 on them. Mine are Drop center and on cast wheel center. So what is this "double drop"? Is this something Miller should have? Then I'm wondering if the 38" is gonna clear the flat full fenders? If not, I will stay 36 and bight bullet buying new. You can find used 38's, never have seen 36. I had an R that I was looking for that size for.

Unfortunately, 38 is not an option as Larry already bought 36 inch tires.

A 38" will clamp on the 36" center!? Is that what you are saying? Aren't they both drop rims or is the drop measurement different?

I tried a 38 inch drop center on the Twin City Thursday and it will not clamp down to the hub. Tomorrow I'm going to look at a JTU I know of and see just what the rims should be and even take pictures.

Every famall, red nose U any thing I have ever looked at with that short double drop would take a 38 in its place just like the red nose std. with 32 an 30 will replace and a w-9 that had 32 will take a 34, just measure!

If your JT is like mine, the rear rims clamp on to a large cast disk.

The rims that came with mine were fabricated using the drop-the part the clamp actually clamps against welded into some good 36" blank rims. Blank meaning they were flat inside, the drop was just cut out of the old rusted out rims, slipped inside and welded fast.

I am thinking that some of the very early M or H farmalls used a 36" clamp on rim. Probably the H rim would be closer to the correct JT width. The very early Z MMs used that same clamp on wheel too.

That's the style of rear hub for sure. I suppose a person could use a 36 inch double bevel if worst comes to worst. I'll look at Miller's website now and see what he has. Thanks.
