Hello was looking for info to get more power out of a UB. Whats the basic cheap power? how much do you gain? will different head, block, crankshaft work? Thanks Nick

Nick, I don't know of any real cheap power, it all costs money. Probably the cheapest would be to put the 4 5/8" bore M5 cylinder blocks on it and use the 4 5/8" pistons. This will give you 336 cubic inches. You can increase the cubic inches to 450 and the horse power to 95-100 by putting a 6" stroke "G" crank shaft in it and using the 4.812 bore pistons from Welters Farm Supply. But by the time you do all the other things that need to be done to make this conversion work well, you will have to plan on spending about $2000.00 Its kind of like what an old Machinist asked me 30 years ago when I was racing stock cars, "how fast can you afford to go?"
