I"d like a AT-4-1600 or G708 or just fix my G1000 Vista Diesel----but 90% of my MM (which I use at the farm) are LP--as well as LP in "some other brands".

I"d like to find the Vista we had back when I was in High School. It was a very late Vista with the blunt nose injectors. Someone had painted the name Iron Butterfly on the side panels. They painted a little mechanical butterfly on the side panels as well. Last I heard of it, it had beed traded in at a JD dealer in northwest Ohio. I have not been able to find any leads from there.

I have most of the ones I want, but I'd still love a good original 4-star. Classy looking!

Also a late Jet 3 Super with 220 engine and Schwartz loader or M670 Super diesel (or maybe with a 403).

I'm dreaming, but a G1355 with 585 would be fun just to cruise the strip on. $$$!!!

Just wondering...

If you had a Farmall tractor, what model would it be?

I used to have a Minneapolis Moline U that I traded for a Farmall H that I like much better.

You pot-stirring or being serious???

Back to the OT, I say UOPN too since UDLX is out. If not that, then a Stuttgart would be cool.third party image

Well, set yourself up for real disappointment. I grew up on an MM UTU (one of three built in 1944) and when the war was over an IH M showed up and my uncle bought it. Both were good tractors, BUT, when the heavy pulling on the hills started, the M came off the equipment and the U went to work! and the UTU saved my uncles life when he rolled it at 35 mph. The M, with high seat would have killed him. Dad and i found the UTU in the middle of gravel road on its side, back wheel broken and spreader in its side and the tractor was still running. So H vs U ----not even in the same league. :-)

Yes, fixed the MM and it worked another 30 years...now i need to try and restore it-but thats on a long list after a lot of other larger MM's that are in line.

Would love to find Dad's 1952 UTU with Schwartz wide front. She lived in NW Iowa for 30+ years, was sold to a tractor peddler and we think she may have gone to Nebraska or So. Dakota. Tractor # 01112239 engine # 01922068

I do enjoy my UB and 4 Star Super

Bob
