Can anyone explain the differences between the later model and earlier pickers? Dad said he had a 350 w/12 roll bed when he started farming but I can find 8 roll bed pickers. I know some were the same as Olivers. I see that a 320 and 350 look similar but there must be some differences in them. This seems to be a subject that hasn't been touched on alot on here. Thanks for you info!

I picked corn with a 320 up to a few years ago. Corns been too dry to pick these last few years. I saw a newer style Oliver at a sales lot a few years ago. Some time ago I was surfin' internet and found a corn picker forum. I havn't found it since, does anybody know where that is?

Was one new than the other or were they different designs? What would have had a 12 roll bed?

I am thinking there is a 35O advertised in the classifieds.

Their is several differances between the two.

The model 320 was a Oliver model 73 picker and it had a open elevator that moved the corn from the snapping rolls to the husking bed.

The model 350 was a Oliver model 83 picker and the elevator from the snapping rolls to the husking bed was covered with tin. The head looked somewhat like a combine corn head. That is the easy way to tell the two apart, but there are other differances.

The model 73 was built from the very late 50's up to the mid 60's. The model 83 was built from the mid 60's up to the very early 70's.

Both machines had a 8 roll husking bed as standard, with a 12 roll husking bed and/or a sheller unit as a option.
