Are there tires on it now? What size is on it now?

well, being that it is a Moline and 45 years old, I wouldn't be surprised if it has 30" rears now. Whether it was that way originally is another story.

And there are genuine MM parts that exist to do that, too. But you are on your own as far as tire size. the best I could reccommend is to measure the rim (Be sure the 30" is inside measurement at the tire bead, not the outside edge of the lip. If its more like 28" inside you need 28" tires.) And the width, then ask somebody like Millertire.com. what size they reccommend.

It could have Big Mo 400/500 industrial hubs with 30" U/UB cast centers for 30" clamp on rims.

It could also have 28" tires, it would just need jetstar wheels and 8-bolt hubs.

I believe the standard size was 13.6 x 38 rear 6.00 x 16 front

My friend wants to put on the original size from the factory. He thinks that the originals were more like 30" tall in the rear. Do you know of any way to find out this info ???

Corky jbb,
30" tall? All 4 Stars came with 38" rear wheels. Unless your friend has a 445 then the utility versions of those came with 28" rear wheels. All 4 Stars are row crop "Universals" and were not offered in a "Utility" version.
