there is a 1951 RTU coming up at an auction that I"m very interested in. I havent had a chance to see this tractor but I"ve just about decided I have to bring it home!. I was wondering if this would have the better later model hydraulics on it or if it still had the early ones?. also wondered what was different on the later model ones?. I have a 46 that belonged to my grandpa in the shop now and I wondered if they improved on anything?

josh, I think that the hydraulic pump is ran off of the front timing gear and the hoses run to the resivoir located under the gas tank. I also think the raise/lower controls will be on the right side of the dash as well. I have a '49 for parts that way. Hope this helps, eb

It will also have later brakes and cosmetically different hood from your 46.

It should have the improved hydralics. The seat will be a kneodler type and moved forward and up and the throttle lever will be mounted on the steering column. It will also have the clam shell fenders mounted by u bolts on the axle housings.
