A friend of mine has a u moline with a bad motor. We found a motor but we dont know exactly what it is out of, its a propane motor. the block # is 10A59570, head # is 10A4210, jug # is 10A15154. We want to build a pulling tractor would this motor work in the U, would it be worth doing and whats it out of. thanks in advance. I always apriciate the info I get off this board THANKS JD

the jugs and heads can be used on the U with out changing the block if it is an m5 it will change the cubes from 283 stock U to 336 stock M5 by just changing the jugs the 10a4210 head are pretty average compression you could mill them and get a little more compression it can all be don with time and money.

Sounds like a M5 engine. You could use parts of the engine in your U or the whole engine if you find the right flywheel (the u one wont work). Depending on how big you want to go with the pulling engine you might be better off to buy just the parts you need individually.
