445 utility problems

Hi. I have a 445 moline and the pto will not dissengage.I took it apart and the brass and steel plates look good so dose everything else.What could be wrong? I also have pieces in the hydrolics would any one have parts for the early three point hitch type systems? Thanks.

Hi,

Are you sure the PTO is _not_ disengaging? On the M670 and 5-Star I know of, the PTO spins all the while the engine is turning, but it is simply the wet clutch pack discs dragging it around. If it encounters some resistance, it"ll stop.

I have an m5 that does that two.But on this tractor if there is a loaded spreader behind it and you can get the tractor to start it will unload the spreader before you get to the field. With the cover off you can see the disc are not compressed. Thanks

I havent had one of those apart before but does the lever feel like it is going in and out of gear? If there is no snap could something be bent or worn that it is going over center and not releasing?
