Howdy. Just curious what kind of compression you're running in the little ZT LP. What's the highest you'd go on high octane gasoline?

11.5 thats for 2500rpm, gas stock rpm 9.5:1 max with improved ignition and proper tuning. The little Z ended up a bit to fast, I'm in the process of slowing it down stock 4th with the za trans zt bulls on 16.9's no load 2500rpm 14.5 mph! Needless to say it couldn't hack it.....

Sorry, I meant ratio for running turbo blue or whatever. Not 93 pump gas. What ratio (or cranking pressure) then? The engine couldn't hack 14.5mph? You were hoping for 12mph right? I can't wait to see this ZT run. When is it coming up here to pull?

My recommendation would be to go about 9-9.25 run 93 and not blow your weeks pay going pulling. If you want go out of site with compression theres fuel that will hack it, But will the headaches be worth it? Any thing at stock rpm's over 10:1 is fussy! Hard on starters keep that in mind, The guys that i build 9.25:1 engines for are happy years later and all around they pull better.

So the little fella is still just a bit fat eh? I wanted to get the HD220 (ZT tranny) JTU in 3500 with 500 to spare. It's a ZT tranny. Our JTU with 206A-4 weighs 3660.

I will post your aluminum clad photo soon. I wish we could run 2500 rpm. Up here in Yankeeland we run from 11:1 to 14:1. I'm sure you talked to Baker about it. Some are fussy!

Our unported/unpolished UB runs 110 octane (.060 over 403 with 10A4210 heads M670 venturi and Berry cam at 1700 rpm making 100 h.p. about 10:1). Runs like a watch and averages about 1 gal per hook with driving around time.

The little bast... hooks like no tommorow (16.9 v cuts) no matter what so its only going to run about 10-10.5 in the 3700 super and in the 4200 about 9.75-10 mph. It only weighed 3200 with 300 lbs of me and no weights now those scales are about 200 light so with a 200 lb driver it could have 200 lbs on it and pull 3500lb, I was hoping for a 3200 super class....
