Needing an EE359 starter hub for front of R engine. Mine is messed up. I'm wondering how to pull that seal there? OR, should I leave it alone? Can these still be bought? What is the angled tin on this for anyway? Why cant the acess hole for set screw on hub be at the top, instead of underneath, very hard to work at?

Charlie, I meant EE358, starter drive for hand starting. I DO need a gen pulley too. Mine has been rubbing on nose casting and worn itself out. Not sure why it touches, but believe this hub has come loose before and messed up itself and the crank some. Key slots are all bad in hub.Maybe they didn't re-position the hub when it was installed again. There seems to be two set-screws in my hub, and a big hole in crank maybe for one to go into. It's sloppy too. Do you have used parts, or are you Agco dealer? I'm not understanding if the tin gets pulled too, with seal, or just pull the seal? I would like to put the slot for screw access on top, not bottom if that can be done. Easier access to screws and you can see what your doing.

I am a bit perplexed as to what you are talking about.Moline part number EE359 is a generator drive pulley. It is held on with four 5/16" bolts. You will need a half inch wrench, or socket, to remove the bolts.

Are you looking for the front seal on the crankshaft? If so; it is part number EE5363 and it is available as a new positive lip rubber seal. I have them on the shelf.

The cone on the front crankshaft seal is to keep the oil from slinging around, after it gets by the old felt seals. Felt just slows down the oil. It does not provide a positive seal, like the modern lip seals. The slow leak drips out the little cut on the bottom and carries away any nasties that tried to get in. The oil loss was insignifigant and you were going to change it before a half cup of oil was lost, from all the seals, anyway.
