Does anyone know if there is a serial # listing of the factory exp. tractors? or a build list from the archives? I assume most exp models would have been destroyed and not sold to the general public.

I think the experimental tractors were serial numbered within the production run of numbers. I know of one experimental MM and it is very early in the serial number range of that model. I am told that the dealer-farmer had use of it for one season, and then the MM engineers came out and tore it completely apart to look at wear patterns. After their inspection, the dealer got to keep the parts, but could not reassemble the tractor. You guessed it, he reassembled it and took it to a consignment sale. A neighbor bought it, and they still have it. No, it's not for sale.

What model of tractor is it? I just bought a G1050 diesel that has the serial # x653. The tractor was used at the oliver plant in southbend to test plow hitches.A locale oliver dealer Woods Brothers bought the tractor from there and used it on there farm for several years before selling it. I got this info from guys who worked for them. The engine is serial # for a 1050 diesel or A4T 1400.

Doug, A real good friend of mine an elderly gent, was a plow engineer at SB plant, also I have 2 guys working for me who were raised on the farm south of town where all the plows were tested. I will see if I can find out anything from that standpoint. Dave

I talked to a couple more guys that knew Alford Woods the oliver dealer and they said he had pretty good connections at the SB plant and would get some good stuff from time to time. He also had a Green and white G950 it is still in the area and i am trying to track it down as well.
