does it matter where the z goes on a 50 zau i was going to put it on the front side of tractor like "minneapolis-molin Z"

Here is a tip on installing the Z decals. Take a pair of sharp scissors and carefully cut the extra clear mylar from around the Z. Be careful and don't cut any of the red. When you finish you will have a round red decal with the Z in the center. As the decal ages it will look much nicer because the clear mylar turns dark and shows with time. Without the mylar the Z looks like it is painted on. Install with soapy water so that you can line it up.

Either side you are standing on it always reads " (MM) Minneapolis-Moline Z " As far as I know all of them were that way...the model designation always followed the name.

I forgot to mention on the 1950's on up there were no MM's on the fuel tank. They were used on the 49's and before...as far as I have reasearched.

on the right side it goes like you stated but the left side goes Z Minneapolis Moline

I know that Alan's way is the reccommended way but the 1954 ZB my grandfather bought new had the ZB at the front of the hood on both sides.
