I just put a new clutch in my Big Mo 400 and I can not get it to shift into 1st gear. I placed all the shift forks in neutral I think? Any ideas..

I don't see how the clutch would affect it. Does your Big MO have the Hi-Lo Amplitorque, reverse shuttle or is it a straight 5 speed.

If your Big Mo is like mine, the shifter cover can be removed without removing any other parts. (The seat may bolt to yours but it would be still fairly easy to remove.) You may have to just take the cover off, figure out which fork shifts 1st. gear and figure out why it won't go into gear. The forks in the transmission are engaged by a key on the shifter shaft that stays in the cover. don't forget to inspect it too.
