MM BF PTO Shaft

I broke the PTO shaft on my little BF. Does anybody know where I could get a new one? I am a little leary about welding and repairing the broke one. I have to sit over the top of it.

I would also like to find out what I need to do to convert the 6-volt system to 12. Anybody help?

Are you talking the long shaft on the inside? I think you are and as you may know that is a Clark PTO and a Clark transmission. Be awear that the shaft out of a 3 speed Clark will not work. An Oliver 4 speed unit and a Cockshutt 20 shaft should also work. On the electrical ae you thinking alternator or having the generator converted to 12 Volt. Many will tell you get single wire Delco alternator. I will be one to tell you not to go single wire. Your turn.

I am talking about the long shaft on the inside. I did switch out the rear PTO unit with one from a Oliver Dozer or a Cockshutt. I suppose that I should be looking for that instead. Where do I find such a thing?

Somebody told me that I can by a Dodge coil and a fuselink and then use a 12 volt battery. Is sounds like it is not that simple? What is the best/cheapest way to switch over to 12 volt? If I have the generator changed over, what else do I need to do?
