Going to be changing the trans/rear end fluid in a Vista. What fluid do you guys recommend using? Hytran? Any other tips beside cleaning the suction screen in the rear end. Tractor is a 3 speed.

I use Hytran in all of our Hydraulic systems that a way when I switch tractor and equipment they are not mixing together all the time with what is left in the cylinders Just my opinion I know MM called for a clear hydraulic oil.I am not positive on the G1000 vista But I know others had different oil in the rearend than the hydraulics

I have a lot of IH stuff and use a lot of Hytran, but not in the MM's. The AgCo equivalent would be just fine, but since I also have some JD stuff, Hy-Gard is used instead. I believe both the recommended AgCo stuff and Hy-Gard are 20W. I always thought Hytran was lighter weight than 20W, although could be wrong.
